Day 3 Recap: Wheeling, WV to Zanesville OH

 Yesterday’s journey began in Wheeling, West Virginia, and concluded in Zanesville, Ohio.

We started the morning by making some motor repairs. One of the spokes on our rim came loose. Fortunately, the Quick Service Bicycle shop in Wheeling let us use their tools to fix our motor. 

we were able to drive through about 20 miles of raining conditions, but we were forced to pause once for 42mph gusts! These were coming over the crests of hills and sometimes were unpredictable, so the team made the call to pause for a while. 

We were fortunate to experience a day without any technical issues. However, the weather was quite challenging with persistent wind and rain. Given the conditions, we decided to end the day early, making the highlight of our day a relaxing meal at Cracker Barrel. The rain was our biggest obstacle, limiting us to just 106 miles and allowing us to get some much-needed rest early.
